  • About the Study

Why We Worship is a new 6-week video-based study on the Mass.  Each week’s video will contain a 45-minute presentation by Dr. Brant Pitre followed by a short presentation by Fr. Mark Toups.

Like Why We Confess, each week’s study webpage will include a video, study notes, links for further study, and an audio file (for those wanting to listen to audio only).

Each of the six videos are approximately 60 minutes long.  The six weeks are as follows:

    • Week 1: Who Determines How We Worship?
    • Week 2: The Mystery of Sacrifice
    • Week 3: The Jewish Passover
    • Week 4: The Last Supper & the Crucifixion
    • Week 5: The Biblical Roots of the Mass, Part 1
    • Week 6: The Biblical Roots of the Mass, Part 2
