Sundays of Ordinary Time outside of regular Sunday Mass Times
: Readings and Prayers from Confirmation Mass will be used with red vestments.

Sundays of Ordinary time during regular Sunday Mass Times
: Readings and Prayers from the Mass of the day will be used with green vestments.

Weekdays of Christmas, Ordinary Time, Lent, the Easter Season, Feasts not occurring on Sunday and Memorials
: Readings and Prayers from the Confirmation Mass will be used with red vestments.
●
Weekdays in the Octave of Easter, Sundays of Lent or the Easter Season, Solemnities, Feasts occurring on Sunday
: Readings and Prayers from the Mass of the day will be used with white or violet vestments, or red if a Feast occurring on Sunday calls for it.

RITE OF CONFIRMATION
● Presentation of the Candidates: by the pastor or catechist, should be brief. If number is small, candidates may be called individually. If there is a large number, candidates are presented as a group.
● Homily by the Bishop.
● Renewal of Baptismal Promises: candidates are to respond audibly and with conviction, I do!
● Laying on of Hands: Priests who are administering the sacrament with the bishop stand near the Bishop and extend hands as he reads the prayer for Laying on of Hands.

1. The Bishop has asked that you please practice music with the students beforehand so they can participate! Songs should be familiar to the students. Also, stress to them the importance of making all spoken Mass responses audibly and clearly.
2. The Bishop will meet with all Confirmation students ½ hour before Confirmation Mass.
