As we celebrate the joyous Solemnity of the Sacred Heart of Jesus, the Church also celebrates and offers gratitude to God for the Supreme Court's decision to overturn Roe v. Wade.

Mark Williams, Ed.D., the associate superintendent of secondary schools in the Archdiocese of New Orleans, has been appointed as the new superintendent of Catholic schools in the Diocese of Houma-Thibodaux, effective July 15, 2022. Additionally, Gerrie Byrne, the current curriculum specialist in the Diocese of Houma-Thibodaux, has been appointed as associate superintendent of curriculum and instruction.

On Saturday, June 4, 2022, the Diocese of Houma-Thibodaux celebrated the ordination of two priests and one transitional deacon. Archbishop Shelton Fabre returned to the Cathedral of St. Francis de Sales as the ordaining prelate.
