Mark Williams, Ed.D., the associate superintendent of secondary schools in the Archdiocese of New Orleans, has been appointed as the new superintendent of Catholic schools in the Diocese of Houma-Thibodaux, effective July 15, 2022. Additionally, Gerrie Byrne, the current curriculum specialist in the Diocese of Houma-Thibodaux, has been appointed as associate superintendent of curriculum and instruction.
On Saturday, June 4, 2022, the Diocese of Houma-Thibodaux celebrated the ordination of two priests and one transitional deacon. Archbishop Shelton Fabre returned to the Cathedral of St. Francis de Sales as the ordaining prelate.
