Just like Our Blessed Mother gave roses as a sign to St. Juan Diego in Tepeyac, Mexico many years ago to announce Her evangelization of millions at that time, She now calls us to be Her modern-day "signs" to others in these days. As in the past, is She not continuing to gently tell Her children: bloom where you are planted today...be the flowers in the Motherly Garden of My heart? Does She not tell Her children of today to: be the signs of The Holy Spirit's great work in creation as you follow My Son in time? Does She not want us to follow Her Son and EVANGELIZE in His Name?
As Holy Spirit-led Catholics, we are called to evangelize by looking for the crisis or storm that is around us and then prayerfully running toward it - not away from it in fear. We are called to be little "Christs in the Crisis". That is in-part how we follow Her Son and evangelize others in these times.
A crisis is something we can all relate to. They are all around us. We all have them. They are the storms of our lives! In many respects, a true crisis may be the first time in one's life that money, power and personal influence cannot deal with the overwhelming matter being faced. Possibly, for the first time in one's life, one may realize that the crisis is bigger than can be dealt with in a natural way. Upon that realization, one's heart may be changed and more open (for the first time) to be sincerely evangelized. One's personal vanity may be for the first time set aside. One may be greatly humbled as never before. One may be open to not only hear the "Good News" but the "Extraordinary News" that is available through Her Son - Jesus Christ. Pray to be a little Jesus in the life of the poor, the displaced, the suffering, the hurting. That is how we evangelize. Evangelization is an act of leading the poor, hurting and suffering into a personal relationship with Jesus Christ and His Church.
PRAY TO THE HOLY SPIRIT TO HELP YOU EXPRESS THE GIFTS OF THE HOLY SPIRIT
SO THAT YOU CAN BRING CHRIST INTO THE CRISIS OR STORM AROUND YOU!
