TIMELINE FOR SCHEDULING A COUPLE FOR THE DIOCESAN MARRIAGE ANNIVERSARY CELEBRATION SUNDAY, OCTOBER 13, 2024
Through July & August 2024:
Parishes announce the Diocesan Marriage Anniversary celebration in individual parish bulletins to register their 25th, 40th, 50th, 60th+ anniversary couples into the diocesan online registration form (at the left of this page). For a sample bulletin announcement, see below.

August 31, 2024:
Last day for parishes to register celebrating couples into the diocesan online registration form (at the left of this page) who will be attending the diocesan celebration with the bishop.

First Week of September 2024:
The Diocesan Worship Office will send out a list of registrants to all parishes who sent them in. Parish staff should check them and let us know of any needed corrections.

Second Week of September 2024:
Will be the last opportunity for parishes to send in corrected lists to the Office of Worship.

Diocesan Celebration (October 13, 2024):
Couples who have RSVP'd to attend this celebration with the diocesan bishop hosted by the Diocese of Houma-Thibodaux through the Office of Worship will receive their diocesan certificate at the reception following the celebration and have the opportunity to have their photo taken with the bishop.

SAMPLE BULLETIN ANNOUNCEMENT
The Diocesan Office of Worship is inviting all couples married in the Catholic Church who are celebrating their 25th, 40th, 50th, 60th, or greater anniversary during 2024 to a Liturgy of the Word celebrated by our diocesan administrator, Fr. Simon Peter Engurait. This celebration will take place on October 13, 2024 at 2:30 PM at St. Joseph Co-Cathedral in Thibodaux. If you wish to take part in this celebration, contact your church parish before August 31, 2024 to register. All registered anniversary couples attending the diocesan celebration will receive an inscribed diocesan certificate at the reception following the Liturgy of the Word celebration, and will have the opportunity to take their photo with Fr. Simon Peter Engurait.

During the first week of September we will send the church parish a list via email of the information we have received. When you get this list please check it over to make sure all your information is included and correct. If not, contact us so that we can make the necessary corrections.
