Fr. Mark mentioned five “faces” or five “voices” of resistance. They were:
(1) Rationalizing that it's "okay" to be a sinner
(2) Believing the lie that holiness is to hard
(3) Feeling trapped because "If God found out, He would be ashamed and disappointed.”
(4) Believing "I'm alone"
(5) Believing that we are the sin rather than someone who has sinned.
Do you recognize any of those five “faces” or five “voices” of resistance in your life?
Saint Paul wrote in First Corinthians 13:11: “When I was a child, I used to talk as a child, think as a child, reason as a child; when I became a man, I put aside childish things.” What are the childish things that you have to put aside?
What was in your heart during the closing prayer and surrender to God?
